628 St Jacques simply the name of the building located at that address, which can make things much easier for anyone wondering where the building is. This is actually quite rare as developers tend to give names to buildings that have more identity than their address. However since this is a rare occurence, it has the opposite effect and 628 St Jaques now seems to roll off the toungue.

Located in Old Montreal but more specifically in the Financial district overlooing Square Victoria and right next to the stock exchange, the 628 St Jacques is the first of several recent constructions in the neighbourhood. It adds to the list of prestigious addresses that are already there such as Altoria, Le Phenix, Le Saint M, U2, and of course Victoria Sur le Parc.

628 St Jacques is perhaps a litte more discreet than its more monolithic brethren (Victoria Sur le Parc) but what it loses in flamboyance, it more than makes up for in style and with a timeless facade. Unlike most modern buildings in the City, 628 St Jaques will age very gracefully. As such, it is an investment worth investigating.

There are two main sides, the sunnier South facing units overlook Griffintown and the Multimedia city and even the river if they are high enough. These are not glamorous views but they are mostly open and are the perfect orientation for sunseekers. The other side is much less sunny but it overlooks Square Victoria and offers interesting city views. The sunny side is very nice but if you want to enjoy the uniqueness of this building, you'll want the Square Victoria side.

The fininishgs are of excellent quality as can be expected in this price range which is usually close to $900 a square foot or more. The amenities include an indoor pool, a terrace, a gym and a lounge/urban chalet. There is of course an opulent lobby and a doorperson at the entrance.
